Where should I begin...After last Friday night with Kennedi getting sick, she passed it on to Colin on Sunday and then on to me on Tuesday. It was like a chain reaction. It was a very lazy week around our house trying to get us all back to normal. Kennedi came down with a fever of 103 degrees on Sunday and that continued through Wednesday morning lowering just a little at times. We went to the Dr. on Monday and she had an x-ray of her chest to check for pneumonia. That was negative and she looked good. Wednesday our Dr. sent us up to the hospital to get blood work and her white blood cell count was high indicating that their could be an infection. We made another trip to the Dr. and did another x-ray. Still found no fluid in her lungs so that was good. We just couldn't figure out what was making Kennedi feel so badly. Thursday I got a little worried when Kennedi just seemed to be acting out of character. She did not want to be held and was very aggressive. We took another trip to the hospital to get more blood work done and her white blood cell count was still high but had lowered from the day before. That was good news. We headed back to the Dr. office and we decided to do a UTI test on her. I will be taking the urine sample in this afternoon to see if that is the problem. Let's just pray that we get all this figured out so Kennedi can feel better. She seems to be acting a lot better today.
During all the craziness, Kennedi decided she was going to start climbing/jumping out of her bed at night when she was uncomfortable and did not feel good. We can't have her doing that with the possibility of her getting hurt, so we decided it was time for her to move up to a big girl bed. Her crib converts to a toddler bed so that was convenient considering she is still pretty little to be getting in and out of a full/twin bed. She can climb in and out of her bed safely and we feel much better now leaving her in her room knowing that she will no longer fall out of her crib. Last night was her first night in the toddler bed and she did great! She slept from 7:45pm -9:30am. Yeah! It was a success!!! She also napped for two hours this afternoon. Hopefully she will continue to do well in her big girl bed. I didn't get many pics of Kennedi this week, but I did get one of her after she had put on some of mommies eye liner. She loves to put on makeup. I might be in trouble, HUH?We also got a few pics from the pumpkin patch today. Kennedi needed a little outing. Have a great weekend!!!
